Mr. Theeraj Athanavanich, Director-General of the Customs Department, Mr. Niti Wityatem,
Deputy Director-General of the Customs Department, Mrs. Sunsupa Klaisuban, Director of the Strategy

and Planning Division, and the Customs Department delegation attended the 145 /146 WCO

Council Sessions held from 26 to 28 June 2025 at the World Customs Organization Headquarters
in Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium. The meeting addressed key agenda items, including technical
matters, policy issues, and governance. The Council also reviewed progress reports of various
WCO committees and working groups, such as the Capacity Building Committee, the Technical

Committee on Rules of Origin, the Technical Committee on Customs Valuation, the Harmonized
System Committee, and the Permanent Technical Committee. In addition, the meeting featured

panel discussions among WCO Member countries to exchange views on several important topics,
including transfer pricing, e-commerce, and the new WCO Capacity-Building Paradigm.
