3.3 Enhancing Customs Control through the Development of Intelligence Information Networks
A project on the Establishment of the Customs Intelligence Alliance The Customs Intelligence
Alliance project aims to strengthen cooperation among operators, the private sector, domestic government
agencies, foreign authorities, and customs officers to ensure that intelligence collection is rapid, accurate,
and derived from reliable sources. Cooperation is coordinated through various channels, including
meetings, electronic mail, the LINE application, the Customs Enforcement Network (CEN), and the CENcomm
(Customs Enforcement Network Communication) system. The project has facilitated the reporting from both
domestic and international agencies of suspected offenses, the tracking and follow-up of submitted intelligence
reports, and the receipt of feedback on their progress, ultimately leading to the verification and investigation of
the reported cases and the apprehension of customs-related offences.
