5.4 Enhancing the Organizational Environment toward an Innovative and Digital Organization
“Innovation We Can” Project The Customs Department is entrusted with responsibilities for
collecting import and export duties and preventing and suppressing customs-related offences. Transforming
the Department into an innovative organization will enhance its capacity to continuously create valuable
innovations aligned with the Department’s vision of “a leading Customs organization promoting economic
sustainability and social security with innovation and excellent services.” The Innovation We Can project is
incorporated under Topic 5 of the Five-Year Action Plan (B.E. 2566–2570), specifically under Development
Approach 5.4 on strengthening the organizational environment toward innovation and digital transformation.
The project aims to foster an environment conducive to innovation through organizational development across
various dimensions, including governance strategies, mission implementation under assigned mandates, work
processes and service delivery, personnel, organizational culture, knowledge management, and operational
resources. These efforts contribute to enhanced outputs, outcomes, and impacts, thereby strengthening the
capabilities of customs officers to adapt to change. The resulting benefits extend to the public and business
sectors, enhance the Department’s institutional image, improve service quality satisfaction, and gain public
confidence in the Customs Department’s operations.
