2. Procurement and Acceptance of Closed Circuit Television

System: CCTV

The Customs Department has installed Closed Circuit Television System: CCTV in accordance

with the cabinet resolution as of 30 September 2015 which agreed on and approved the Customs
Department’s CCTV and customs control-related technology development project in preparation

for AEC joining in FY 2018. This is Phase III of the Customs Department’s CCTV procurement project.
The procured systems will be the Customs Department’s owned properties while maintenance
service will be later procured when the warranty expires.

At the moment, within FY2018, the Customs Department has completed the installation of

CCTV in all the offces such as the central offcers, offces at the ports, at the airports, Customs
houses and border Customs checkpoints. This includes
1) 2,204 CCTV units

2) 24 Face Recognition System: FRS units
3) 212 License Plate Recognition System: LPRS units

4) 400 Wireless access point sets A total of 2,440 units
