Utilization of FTA Preferences

               inFiscal Year 2025

                 Overview of FTA Utilization

The value of utilization of preferential tariff treatment under FTAs has shown a continuous upward trend
over the past five years, with fiscal year 2025 recording the highest utilization value on record. The strongest
growth was driven by the electrical appliances group, including electrical machinery and equipment having
individual functions, electrical control equipment, and electric water heaters. China remained the largest
trading partner in terms of FTA utilization, accounting for 50.5 percent of total utilization, with continuous
expansion over five years, particularly under the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ASEAN-China).
In contrast, utilization under ATIGA (with the highest utilization from Viet Nam, Malaysia, and Indonesia) and
JTEPA continued to contract for the third consecutive year. The product groups with the highest FTA utilization
were iron and steel products (accounting for 10.7 percent, contracting for most of fiscal year 2025 except May
2025), machinery (10.0 percent), and electrical appliances (9.4 percent), with combined expansion of THB
27 billion, or +8.2 percent. The ratio of FTA utilization to total import value stood at 16.5 percent, compared
with 16.9 percent in the previous year.
