Database of Steel relating to Anti-dumping

The Customs Tariff Bureau created a database of Customs tariffs and statistics codes for the steel

products related to the anti-dumping measure, and disseminated the database in the Thai Customs
Department’s website (www.customs.go.th). This project was aimed to put more emphasis on steel
examination due to the increase in imports of steel into the country. The Thai Customs Department was
in cooperation with other related government agencies to control safety for the stakeholders.

Mobile Application “HS Check”

The Customs Tariff Bureau developed a new mobile application “HS Check” to assist traders in
searching Customs tariffs. This application is user-friendly and enable users to search for Customs tariffs

and other information, including Advance Ruling anywhere they want. How to make maximum use of

Establishment of the Focal Point under Project for Capacity Development on Rules of Origin
for Efficient Customs Procedures

The Customs Tariff Bureau and JICA jointly implemented “Project for Capacity Development on
Rules of Origin for Efficient Customs Procedures” in order to enhance capacity building for Customs
officers and all the stakeholders. The focal point on Rules of Origin consisting of frontline offices relating
to import was established. The focal point was intended to solve issues relating to Rules of Origin, FTAs/

DFQF/GSP in an expedited and efficient manner.
