On 25 March 2022, Deputy Director-General of Thai Customs Department, Mrs. Kitjaluck Srinuchsart
and Vice Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China, Mr. SUN Yuning officially signed the
Action Plan under the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on the Authorized Economic Operator
Programme between Thai Customs Department and China Customs at the event “Action Plan Virtual Signing
Ceremony between The Customs Department of the Kingdom of Thailand and the General Administration
of Customs of the People’s Republic of China”.
The Action Plan serves as a roadmap for developing AEO MRA with China Customs. Both customs
administrations will undertake comparison of AEO programmes in Thailand and China. Two parties will also
conduct joint site validation to ensure the compatibility and compliance with AEO standards specified by
WCO SAFE framework.
Thai Customs Department has implemented the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) to facilitate
trade for AEO operators when exporting to partner countries and to enhance trade security in supply chain.
It also increases the capacity and potential of Thai operators in international trade.
