Director-General of the Customs Department attended the Bilateral Meetings with the Director-General of Japan Customs and representatives from the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department

On 15th April 2024, Mr.Theeraj Athanavanich, Director-General of the Customs Department, Mr.Niti Wityatem, Deputy Director-General of the Customs Department, and Mrs.Sunsupa Klaisuban, Director of Strategy and Planning Division, accompanied by delegates from the Thai Customs Department, attended Bilateral Meetings during the 25th WCO A/P Regional Heads of Customs Administration (RHCA) Conference in the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney. They met with Mr. EJIMA Kazuhiko, Director-General of Japan Customs, to foster goods relations and strengthen cooperation between Thai Customs and Japan Customs. Additionally, the Director-General and the Thai delegation seized the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department, led by Mr. Rudy HUI, Assistant Commissioner (Excise and Strategic Support). The meeting aimed to extend to Hong Kong Customs as they assume the role of the next WCO Vice-Chairperson for the Asia/Pacific Region (2024-2026).
