Deputy Director-General of the Customs Department joined the Siren Anti-Drug Operation Debriefing Seminar between Thai Customs and Korea Customs Service

On 20 September 2022, at 10.00 hrs., Mr.Pongtep  Buasap, Deputy Director-General of Thai Customs Department, together with Mr.Tawal Rodjit, Director of Enforcement Division attended the Siren Anti-Drug Operation Debriefing Seminar between Thai Customs and Korea Customs Service, and signed the letter of intent to promote cooperation on anti-drug between Thai Customs and Korea Customs Service at Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam, Republic of Korea. The Siren Operation Project was a cooperation between Thai Customs and Korea Customs Service, and has a purpose to intercept drug trafficking networks by using Thailand is a central of transportation through the Republic of Korea, consisting of Thai Customs officials and Republic of Korea Customs officials working together from 2 May 2022 to 31 August 2022 with a total of 4 months, and arrest results 35 cases for exports to the Republic of Korea both by mail and to carry-on baggage.

Such cooperation will continue to operate for the benefit of the Customs of both countries to effectively intercept drug problems in the dimension of Customs.
